36-hour food bank appeal raises money - and hope

The urgent weekend appeal by Foodbank Aid raised almost £2700 in funds for disadvantaged families in our school community.
As many families are facing difficulties in the current cost of living crisis, we've partnered with Foodbank Aid to establish a food bank at St Aloysius College, providing essential items for those in need. Foodbank Aid will do their first delivery to the school in the next few days. Parents are invited to call in and fill their shopping bags for the Easter holidays from Monday 27th to Friday 31st March, between 12.00 and 18.00. Discretion is assured! "We plan to provide similar opportunities before each school holiday period going forward," comments deputy headteacher Eoghan Galgey, before adding: "The school is deeply grateful to FoodBank Aid for their support."
