Year 4 & 5 Siblings of Aloysius students invited to Summer Camp

We are delighted to partner up with Channing Senior School, Brookfield Primary school and Highgate Newtown Community Centre for a week-long Summer Camp.

The summer camp is taking place between Monday 24th and Friday 28th July at Channing School, Highgate.

Here are the answers to Frequently Asked Questions:

Who is the Summer Camp for?

Places are free but limited in number and are available to siblings (brothers or sisters) of St Aloysius pupils who are in Years 4 or 5 at any primary school and who receive Free School Meals.

What activities will be on offer?

A mixture of Channing and Brookfield teachers will run morning sessions. All children will take part in three 45-minute workshops like creative writing, science or language fun activities. The children will be taught in groups of 15 to enable a high adult-to-child ratio.

The brilliant 'Active Day Camp' coaches will run the afternoon sessions and children will choose from a menu of fun activities: arts and crafts, tennis, rounders and laser tag.

What will the timings of the day be?

Registration will be at 9am and the day will run until 3.30pm. A detailed timetable will follow, laying out the specific activities.

Can my child choose the days they attend?

Due to an expected high demand, we ask that any child attending the summer camp is doing so full-time for the 5 days. The workshops will build on the previous learning from the day before, so it is important that the children are there for all workshops.

Will lunch be provided?

Yes. Lunch and a range of healthy snacks will be provided free of charge each day. A versatile menu will be on offer for the children to choose their lunches from. This will happen prior to the camp beginning.

Where will the Summer Camp take place?

The camp will take place at Channing Junior School in Highgate.
