Top attendance awarded by prestigious body

St Aloysius' College is once again amongst the top schools in the country for student attendance.

We are the proud receivers of the National Attendance Award as presented by the specialist body FFT Education. 'This is exciting news,' St Aloysius headteacher Paula Whyte comments. 'I'm extremely pleased that our consistent drive to make sure our students are in the classroom to learn is paying off.'  The college has secured the award for every year Ms Whyte has been at the helm. The Department of Education emphasises the importance of a rigorous attendance culture: 'There is evidence to suggest that regular school attendance is a key mechanism to support children and young people's educational, economic and social outcomes,' a statement by the DofE reads.
