If you have applied for your son to join Year 7 in September 2020 please attend the banding test on Tuesday 3rd December, 9:30am.

Please ensure your son arrives at St Aloysius’ College between 9:00am – 9:15am. The test is expected to last two hours and is made up of a series of short tests that assess pupil’s reasoning/thinking abilities in key areas that support educational development and academic attainment. The test is made up of a battery of 4 tests:

·         Verbal Reasoning

·         Non- Verbal Reasoning

·         Quantitative Reasoning

·         Spatial Ability

The data produced from the test can be used to help teachers better understand your son’s learning needs.

It is important that your son does not become anxious about this test as no pre-knowledge or preparation is needed for this test.
