A warm welcome to St Aloysius' College. I am delighted to be returning to the College as Headteacher. The College was set up by the Brothers of Mercy in 1879. This College is one of the oldest in the Diocese, and we are now welcoming both boys and girls into our vibrant and thriving community. We serve the local community and beyond with the deepest sense of pride. This is a community open to all!

We focus on the spiritual, moral, academic, social and cultural development of our pupils. Our school provides a nurturing, inspiring  and caring environment which focusses on challenging our young people to succeed and supporting and nurturing them as they navigate their journey into adulthood. Staff at the school work hard to achieve our aim of quality and excellence in all that we do. We take our responsibility of working in partnership with parents very seriously.  Each pupil is treated as a unique individual and we aim to treat all pupils equitably, so each can develop their God given gifts and talents and move onto the next phase of their education equipped with the academic achievements and skills needed to succeed.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, high quality teaching and learning in a calm, well-ordered environment. We have high expectations of all pupils. We seek to educate our students in an environment where Gospel values of Courage, Dignity , Forgiveness and Justice.

St Aloysius’ College, a school steeped in history, has produced two senior members of the Catholic clergy in Archbishops Stack and Mc Mahon. There are many others with distinguished careers in business, the arts, academia, sport, entertainment and government to name a few. The Old Aloysians’ association is always pleased to hear from past pupils.
